PhilFIDA and BAFS Craft Illustrative Guide (IG) for the Philippine National Standard (PNS) Pineapple Fiber (PNS/BAFS 318:2021)

In a significant collaborative effort between the Philippine Fiber Industry Development Authority (PhilFIDA) and the Department of Agriculture – Bureau of Agriculture and Fisheries Standards (DA-BAFS), in partnership with private stakeholders, the DA-BAFS proudly announces the release of the Illustrative Guide (IG) for the Philippine National Standard - Pineapple Fiber -Grading and Classification (PNS/BAFS 318:2021). This guide is meticulously crafted to serve as a comprehensive reference and practical tool for grading and classifying pineapple fiber, empowering stakeholders to maintain industry standards.

As we celebrate this remarkable milestone, PhilFIDA extends heartfelt recognition to the dedication and commitment of the PhilFIDA Technical Working Group from the Regulatory Division, Fiber Utilization and Technology Division, and Regulatory Units from different Regional Offices, all of whom played a pivotal role in formulating this PNS.

Looking ahead, PhilFIDA anticipates continued collaboration, aiming to contribute to the advancement of Philippine fibercrop standards, not only in pineapple fiber but also in other fibercrops.
