PhilFIDA Joins Kadiwa ng Pangulo at the Malacañang Palace Compound on December 02-03, 2023

On December 02-03, 2023, the Philippine Fiber Industry Development Authority (PhilFIDA), through the Technical Assistance Division (TAD), actively participated in the Kadiwa ng Pangulo (KNP) event held at the Malacañang Palace Compound. The event showcased affordable and high-quality products from 46 local farmers, fisherfolks, and micro-enterprises nationwide, featuring various local products and delicacies. This initiative aligns with the government's commitment to empower farmers to sell their products directly to consumers while ensuring access to affordable and quality food items. President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos (PBBM) and the DA Assistant Secretary and concurrent OIC Executive Director of PhilFIDA, Atty. Genevieve E. Velicaria-Guevarra, graced the opening of this 2-day event.

PhilFIDA featured three invited sellers at the event: Lumbaan Weavers and Cotton Producers Cooperative, Presentacion Pasalubong Center, and Malilipot Abaca Twine Processing & Enterprise Inc., representing Ilocos Norte, Camarines Sur, and Albay, respectively. These sellers showcased fibercrop products crafted from abaca and cotton, including bags, Christmas and home decorations, and shawls.
