Guioang Farmers Learn the Art of Maguey Fiber Product-Twining with the assistance of PhilFIDA

In partnership with the Bohol Provincial Office, the Philippine Fiber Industry Development Authority Regional Office VII, conducted a Farmers’ Training on Maguey Fiber Product-Twining Development in Brgy. Guioang, Guindulman, Bohol, on October 12-13, 2023.

This training aimed to empower the members of the Guioang Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Cooperative, who are beneficiaries of the Maguey Processing Center in Guindulman, Bohol. Maguey fiber is a key material used for creating cottage industry products and various natural fiber-based items like handicrafts.

The event received support from the Local Government Unit of Guindulman, particularly through the Municipal Agriculture Office led by Mr. Geofrey Gulay, highlighting the importance of collaboration between government and local communities in advancing sustainable agriculture and economic opportunities.
