Ceremonial Signing of the Memorandum of Agreement between the Department of Agriculture, Philippine Fiber Industry Development Authority, and the City of Las Piñas

The Department of Agriculture (DA) Senior Undersecretary Domingo F. Panganiban, Philippine Fiber Development Authority (PhilFIDA) OIC-Executive Director, Assistant Secretary Genevieve E. Velicaria-Guevarra, and the Local Government Unit of Las Piñas (Las Piñas - LGU) Honorable Imelda T. Aguilar, represented by City Administrator Reynaldo Balagulan and Atty. Glenda Lucena, signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on the property owned by PhilFIDA located in the City of Las Piñas on 18 September 2023.

“We have come together today to witness the formalization of an agreement that defines the terms under which a piece of land owned by PhilFIDA in Las Piñas, which has been sitting idle for decades, will be shared for the benefit of the community. This partnership demonstrates the shared commitment of both entities to harnessing the potential of this land for the greater good of the city and nearby residents,” stated Asec. Velicaria-Guevarra.

The said MOA will give way for structural improvements which will serve as a cornerstone of progress and a source of inspiration not only for PhilFIDA personnel but also its clienteles, and the nearby community.
