Visayas Field Operations Center (VFOC) Now Panay Island Fibercrops Experiment Station and Seedbank (PIFESS)

The Visayas Field Operations Center (VFOC) located in Sta. Barbara, Iloilo, is now renamed PANAY ISLAND FIBERCROPS EXPERIMENT STATION AND SEEDBANK (PIFESS) by virtue of an office order signed by Executive Director Kennedy T. Costales on 28 January 2019.

The renaming came about as a result of the transfer of land title to the Philippine Fiber Industry Development Authority (PhilFIDA). The public may now refer to the former center as PIFESS.
