PhilFIDA conducted a site visit to Panique, Caramoran, Catanduanes, to assess the implementation of the Abaca Tuxy-Buying Project (ATBSP). The team was received by CAFPCO Vice Chairman Bernardo Salvidar, the Board of Directors and members, and IFED Coordinator Melanie B. Patricio. During the visit, they inspected the facility and the abaca stripping machines installed in the area, ensuring their efficiency in supporting local abaca farmers.
The team then proceeded to the Municipal Office of Caramoran for a courtesy visit with Municipal Mayor Hon. Glenda V. Aguilar. The meeting focused on updates regarding the ATBSP, as well as addressing key concerns raised by the project and the abaca farmers in the municipality. This visit emphasizes PhilFIDA’s continued commitment to strengthening the abaca industry and working closely with stakeholders to provide sustainable support for abaca farmers in Catanduanes.
