The Philippine Fiber Industry Development Authority (PhilFIDA), through the Technical Assistance Division (TAD), is actively participating in the week-long exhibit in celebration of the 127th Anniversary of the Department of Agriculture (DA), held at the DA Compound in Quezon City from June 23 to 26, 2025.
This event serves as a dynamic platform to highlight various agricultural and fishery products from across the country, as well as the diverse services offered by the different DA agencies and bureaus.
PhilFIDA’s participation in the exhibit reinforces the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to promote and modernize Philippine agriculture by showcasing local fiber products and supporting rural enterprises. This initiative is carried out under the leadership of Executive Director Arnold “Ali” I. Atienza, who continues to push for greater visibility and value-adding opportunities for the country’s fiber industry.
This year, one of the featured exhibitors is Shelmed Cottage Treasures from Albay, showcasing an array of beautifully crafted abaca products such as baskets, lamps, and home décor items, proudly made from indigenous materials.
We invite everyone to visit the PhilFIDA booth and explore the other participating exhibits. Let us support local industries and celebrate Filipino creativity and innovation in agriculture and fiber craftsmanship.
