We’re thrilled to share significant progress on the Abaca Processing Center in Josefina, Zamboanga del Sur. This vital project is progressing well, thanks to the direct support and leadership of our Executive Director, Arnold “Ali” I. Atienza.
 
In a commitment to ensuring project quality and adherence to established plans, the PhilFIDA Central Office recently conducted a comprehensive monitoring visit. The Engineering inspection was led by Engr. Emma Z. Balabis and Engr. Romy Alvin Domingo from PhilFIDA Central Office. Their review focused on verifying construction progress and quality control, ensuring compliance with all specifications.
 
The monitoring activity was spearheaded by PhilFIDA IX OIC Regional Director Keven R. Badon, accompanied by his dedicated staff. Also present to ensure seamless coordination and oversight were: • Engr. Jonathan Quijano, Contractor’s Engineer • Jonathan S. Conejos, Municipal Agriculturist of Josefina • Pablito S. Ytang, Jr., JOFARCO General Manager • Bobby S. Mag-usara, JOFARCO Vice Chairman.
 
This collaborative effort highlights our commitment to delivering in an effective and high-quality Abaca Processing Center that will significantly benefit our local abaca farmers and the community of Josefina. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue building for progress!
