The Philippine Fiber Industry Development Authority (PhilFIDA), under the leadership of Executive Director Arnold “Ali” I. Atienza, through PhilFIDA Regional Office XI headed by OIC-Regional Director Joel T. Alcoser, successfully participated in the Philippine National Public Key Infrastructure (PNPKI) Orientation conducted by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT). The activity aimed to strengthen the agency’s understanding of secure digital authentication and the implementation of digital certificates in government transactions, supporting the continuous digital transformation of public service.
The orientation was facilitated by Engr. MJ Garsuta, Cybersecurity and PNPKI Focal Person and Davao de Oro Provincial Head, together with Jhonavhae Dongalo, PNPKI Provincial Lead Officer (PLO). The resource speakers provided an in-depth discussion on the fundamentals of the PNPKI system, highlighting its role in ensuring the authenticity, integrity, and non-repudiation of electronic documents. They also discussed the digital certificate application process, the benefits of digital signatures, and their practical implementation across government agencies.
The activity was attended by officials and personnel from PhilFIDA Regional Office XI, reaffirming the agency’s commitment to adopting secure digital technologies that enhance operational efficiency, transparency, and accountability in government services.
