The Philippine Fiber Industry Development Authority (PhilFIDA) under the leadership of Executive Director Arnold “Ali” I. Atienza with OIC-Chief of Technical Assistance Division Ms. Maritess M. Puspus, welcomed Ms. Daniela Sagastume Kuhlow and Mr. Kevin Kuhlow, Co-Founder of Pina & Kakaw in Guatemala, during their visit to the PhilFIDA Central Office to explore a potential collaborative business venture in the Philippines.
The meeting focused on the development of cotton blended with pineapple (piña) fiber, discussing possible areas of cooperation, knowledge exchange, and opportunities to promote innovative and sustainable textile materials. The initiative highlights the shared interest in advancing natural fiber integration and creating value-added products that support the growth and global competitiveness of the Philippine fiber industry.
